Get to know the location of Turčianske Teplice better

The town of Turčianske Teplice is located in the southern part of the Turiec Basin, approximately 25 km south of Martin. To the east of the town rise the foothills of the Great Fatra, and to the west is the foot of the Žiar mountain range. The town itself, however, lies in the flat part of the basin. The greatest natural wealth of Turčianske Teplice are the mineral springs and thermal waters.

Turčianske Teplice is one of the oldest spa towns in Slovakia. The first written mention of the town’s hot springs dates from 1281, when the then King Ladislaus IV gifted the manor and the warm springs on its western part to Count Peter.

Revitalisation of the spa park

The spa park in the centre of Turčianske Teplice is a national cultural monument and an integral part of the Gold Spa Turčianske Teplice. The façade of the Opera Residence faces the spa park, providing a wonderful view to all residents.

So that the park can serve the residents, spa guests and visitors of Turčianske Teplice even better, we have prepared a project for its revitalisation. Take a look at our plans and see what the park will look like in the future.
